Project Overview

Alex has engaged with Paddle Creative to help build a new website for khushis.com, a popular restaurant in Dunfermline, to provide a better online experience. Paddle Creative will create a bespoke website, with table reservations, delivery order placements and a webshop. The outcome will be a unique website, worthy of Khushis, a slick online experience for clients and an easy-to-manage platform for Khusis.

  • The process will begin with a Kickoff Discovery Meeting to discuss your needs, inspiration and get a full understanding of what you require to fulfill the brief
  • A website map and wireframe of the site wil be agreed
  • A custom-design will be created based around current brand guidelines
  • Designs will be presented as working prototypes allowing you to work with Paddle to fine tune the design

  • Table Reservatins & Delivery Ordering - Seemless integration of GLORIAFOOD into your website
  • The website will have an online editor for self-editing of text and images, giving you power to easily manage your website and shop

  • Fully responsive website including cross-browser and device testing (WHAT IS RESPONSIVE)
  • Cookie Consent banner
  • Google Reviews embed
  • Google Analytics setup once the site goes live
  • The URL Domain will be purchased by and remain the possession of the client at all times, Paddle Creative will only need access to the change the DNS records

Migration

  • SSL - Essential security with a SSL certificate included for your site to prevent hacking and improve Google SEO (WHAT IS SSL)
  • Local CDN (Content Delivery Network), which will increase website load spead and improve SEO.
  • Access to the website backend, which includes an easy-to-use editor and CMS (Content Management System) allowing you to easily edit the website post-launch. This is integral with the AWS web-hosting

Project Terms

  • 50% to be paid upfront, with a further 25% to be paid on signoff of the website design and the final 25% to be paid just prior to the launch of the website.
  • OPTION 1 - Website hosting & CMS access is included in the cost for the first 12-months (from site launch). Thereafter it will be billed at £250 per annum.
  • OPTIONS 2 & 3 - eCommerce Website hosting and CMS access is included in the cost for the first 12-months (from site launch). Thereafter it will be billed at £750 per annum. Lower tiers are available with per-transaction fees).
  • There is NO ongoing website maintenance cost, your site will be maintenance free.
  • There is NO VAT to be paid currently.

The Timeline based on Option 1

Phase One: Approx 2-3 Weeks

Research & Design
  • Paddle will undertake a Kickoff Discovery meeting to research your business, competitors and potential customers.
  • A website site map will be created for approval.
  • We will create a content plan using a shared Google Drive to share content.
  • We will then develop fully-functioning designs for your website.
  • We will share a page showing the look and feel of the site for approval and tweaks.

Phase Two: Approx. 2-4 Weeks

Website Development
  • In this stage, Paddle will collate your imagery and build your website.
  • There will be ample opportunity to feedback on the design. There will be a maximum of 3 revision rounds.
  • This will be followed by cross-browser testing and setting up SEO and Open-graph metadata to improve SEO. Your website will not be live yet, it will be on a 'staging' domain (private URL).
  • Your 12-month hosting plan will begin once this is complete.
  • Your site will then be set to live on your private URL.
