From its intuitive interface to its lightning-fast content delivery network (CDN) and robust security measures, Webflow Hosting is designed to provide a seamless and hassle-free hosting experience.

Does Webflow Offer Hosting

Does Webflow offer hosting? It’s a common question so we’ve decided to provide the answer - yes! Webflow does offer hosting, and it is the best of the best…

It is important to first be clear that there are ‘Workspace’ plans and ‘Site Plans’ in Webflow. Workspace plans allow you to work on the platform, create projects and work with teams. This resource goes into detail on Webflow Site plans, which largely concerns Webflow Hosting.

Is Webflow Free to Use?

When you've reached the limits of Webflow's beginner plan, which is available for free usage, you'll need to upgrade to one of the business's paid plans. Site plans from Webflow start at $14 per month. You will require an Ecommerce plan if you wish to create an online store which has a monthly rate of $29. Additionally, Webflow has Workspace plans that are initially free but cost $16 a month if you want advanced capabilities.

Does Webflow Host Domains?

Webflow Hosting offers you access to the industry's quickest and most scalable hosting technology. You can direct a custom domain to your Webflow site by adding a Site Plan to any project, and it will be safely hosted on Amazon Web Servers (AWS) and distributed through the Fastly Network. In our opinion, this is the best you can get. If you want to host a site with a custom domain with Webflow you will need at least a Basic Site Plan.

Does Webflow Host Websites?

Webflow is fundamentally a hosted application, which means you must pay to access it as well as any supplemental features or add-ons. However, you are free to use any other provider to host the website data you produce. Note that if you choose to host your website outside of Webflow hosting, you will not be able to utilise the Webflow CMS.

How Much is Webflow Hosting?

Webflow does allow free registration and website creation, however hosting is an additional cost.

Costs for using Webflow to launch your website on a custom domain range from $14 to $39 USD per month, payable yearly, which roughly translates to $168–468 USD annually. There is a further Enterprise Webflow plan for enterprise level organisations.

Where Are Webflow Sites Hosted?

Webflow uses a combination of infrastructure and services provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other providers to host their sites. They are optimised for performance and reliability, and they handle all the technical details of hosting and maintaining the site, including security and backups, so your site will always be safe with Webflow.

Do You Have to Host With Webflow?

You are not obligated to host with Webflow, so don't worry if you don't want to. It doesn't restrict you in that way. You can develop a static site in Webflow, export it for hosting on your own servers, and post it there completely unassisted and without crediting Webflow if you have a Core Workspace plan or above.

If you do choose to host separately to Webflow you won't have to pay more because your website will be hosted elsewhere. It is also worth noting you will lose the power of Webflow CMS if you host your site externally.

What is the difference between Webflow Workspace and Site (hosting) plans?

Before we get into this section let’s make some things clear. Webflow has many different pans available to suit all of its users, but the names can get a little confusing. All you need to know for the time being is this: A Site Plan is sometimes called a Hosting Plan, and a Workspace is sometimes referred to as an Account Plan.

Webflow’s paid plans can be divided into two categories: Webflow Site plans (you’ll need one of these if you want to host your site on Webflow and use a custom domain), and Workspace plans (for freelancers, agencies and teams who need multiple projects). You can delve deeper into Webflow plans in our ‘How Much Does Webflow Cost’ resource.

Every Webflow site is developed within a Workspace by default. Paid Workspace subscriptions have the added benefit of inviting others to collaborate and develop in Webflow and the ability to create more free sites.

If you’re wanting to use your own custom domain name for your site (e.g. www.yourcompanyname.com ), you'll need to add a Site plan. The Basic site plan is fine if you don't want to use Webflow CMS, but most sites will require the CMS plan to use Webflow's content management system.

For each project you want to publish to a custom domain you’ll need to purchase a separate Site plan, so if you have 3 projects with custom domain names you’ll need 3 Site plans. The site plan allows you to use a custom domain for your Webflow site, which is hosted on Amazon Web Servers and distributed through the Fastly Network.

Conclusion

To conclude nicely, yes, Webflow does offer hosting. If you choose to host your site with Webflow it will be kept running securely and quickly with AWS hosting and if you don’t choose to host with Webflow that’s completely fine, you can host your Webflow site elsewhere.
